Welcome to the Inter-Institutional Program of Postgraduate Studies  "MBA in Strategic     Management and Competitiveness" offered by the Department of Economic Studies of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens in collaboration with the  Department of Planning and Regional Development of the University of Thessaly, with the following specializations:

1. Strategic Business Management (Strategic Management). This is continuation for the 9th year of the postgraduate program of the Department of Economics of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens "Management of Economic Organizations under the direction of Strategic Management" which operates from the academic year 2015-2016.
2. Competitiveness and Development Strategies

The educational process which is followed in the specific direction is hybrid, namely it is carried out both with the use of a conventional system (classroom teaching) and with the use of distance learning-teaching. Take place one weekend per month, so it can be attended by working people.

The program aims to create integrated scientists who as citizens but also as business executives will have the techniques and skills to make effective decisions in the modern, globalized and highly competitive economic environment. In addition, the program aims to train specialized scientists capable of contributing to the recovery and modernization of the Greek economy. This postgraduate program, which especially focuses on international developments, fosters the development of critical thinking, collective effort and creative action to address the problems of business in Greece and abroad. The program develops, organizes and offers knowledge in such a way that it is unified, understandable, attractive and applicable. The Program focuses on the moral, administrative and social responsibilities of companies and organizations. At the same time, it offers students new opportunities for thinking, judging, acting, understanding and dealing with financial and business issues. It also fosters their familiarity with technology by highlighting the importance of linking knowledge areas and enhancing the global analysis of key issues in business management strategy so that the new knowledge and expertise gained is combined with the experiences of participants (case-studies).

The Inter-Institutional Program of  Postgraduate Studies follows high international academic standards, without losing its practical professional orientation and is completed within a flexible period of 24-60 months.

The teamwork and exercise/ case studies done in this program are the key for the development of the skills needed to create and become a manager/leader. This program provides the opportunity to study under the guidance of internationally recognized professors who have excelled in teaching, research and consulting worldwide and acquire of knowledge in a wide range of scientific subjects and the analysis of domestic and international issues related to the economy and the business world.

Upon successful completion of their studies, our students obtain an official Master in Business Administration (MBA) from the Department of Economics of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens.

The training process is carried out with a specially designed flexible system, that involves one weekend per month so that it can be easily attended by working people throughout Greece and focuses on the application of modern theories and tools in practice (as described in the program structure).
