Professor of Mathematics & Informatics at the Department of Economics of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. In the Department he has extensive and multifaceted administrative and organizational work. His research interests concern the development of theory and algorithms of numerical approaches and optimization accompanied by the development of general purpose software. Published in prestigious international scientific journals. His software packages are installed in the ACM Transactions on Mathematical Software and Computer Physics Communications scientific libraries. He studied as a scholarship holder of the State Scholarship Foundation. Received J.T. Knight Price in Cambridge University Mathematics and other international awards. He participates in scientific committees of international conferences.
