Eleni E. N. Piteli, Teaching Fellow Sussex University - UK
Eleni E.N. Piteli (BSc Economics, Essex MSc Development Economics, SOAS PhD International Business, Leeds) is a Tutoring Fellow in International Business at the University of Sussex. She completed her PhD at the Center for International Business at the University of Leeds (CIBUL), United Kingdom with Professor Peter Buckley and Professor Mario Kafouros. She is a holder of the scholarship of the Alexandros S. Onassis Public Benefit Foundation. She has previously worked as a research assistant at the University of Athens for the FESSUD program, which is funded by the European Commission. She has also worked at UNCTAD, in the Department of Investment and Business, undertaking research for the Global Investment Report 2011 (WIR11). In addition, she was a research assistant at the University of Cambridge - DYNREG program funded by the European Commission. She has produced research for the FESSUD program: "Report on Scenarios for the Future of Global Commitment" and DYNREG Working Paper No. 44: "Foreign Direct Investment in Developed Economies: A Comparison between European and Non-European Countries". She has taught International Business, International Business Strategy, International Entrepreneurship and Business Development Policies, with great public acclaim. She has published in Contributions to Political Economy and is currently working on three papers from her dissertation, one under review in the Journal of World Business. Her entry on FDI and Economic Development was recently accepted into the prestigious PalgraveEncyclopedia of Strategic Management (under publication).
