Christos Pitelis is a Professor of Market and Business Economics, Director of the Laboratory of Strategy and International Competitiveness of the Department of Economics at EKPA and a Life Fellow at Queens College, Cambridge University. He has been the Director of the Center for International Business and Management (CIBAM) of the same university, advisor to international organizations, governments and companies, Chairman of the Board of Hellenic Organization of Small-Medium Enterprises and Crafts , coordinator of the project "The Future of Greek Industry and main author of the Consensus Industry in Greece (1994-1997). His research work focuses on political economy, governance, strategy, policies and measures to achieve sustainable competitiveness of organizations, nations and companies, as well as globalization, international business, networking and ecosystems of small and medium-sized enterprises, financial economies. He has published more than a dozen books with international publishers, and more than a hundred articles in peer-reviewed journals such as the Academy of Management Review, Cambridge Journal of Economics, Industrial and Corporate Change, Organization Science, Journal of International Business Study, International Journal of Industrial Organization, etc. He has made announcements, served as president, organizer, and honorary speaker, at more than two hundred conferences worldwide. He has also worked as a visiting professor at universities such as Berkeley, Bath, Brunel, Nottingham, St Andrews, University of Technology Sydney, Utrecht, China-Europe Management Institute, Copenhagen Business School, etc. Christos is the publisher of Edith Penrose, co-publisher of the Cambridge Journal of Economics, in the Editorial Team of the management journals Management International Review and European Management Review and before he was in Organization Science, and Organization Studies and was a visiting publisher in Organization Studies, Contributions to Political Economy, Corporate Governance, International Business Review, Management International Review, Industrial and Corporate Change and Cambridge Journal of Economics.
