B) Specialization "Competitiveness Strategy of States and Regions"

The aim of the Postgraduate Program "Strategic Management and Competitiveness with specialization in Competitiveness Strategies of States and Regions" is to trainof postgraduate students in matters relating to thestrategic competitiveness of nations and regions, for the staffing of executive positions through knowledge of the factors involved in influencing the design, implementation and effectiveness of development policies and, , the possibilities and limitations of the means of practice of development strategies, in the direction of the proposal of realistic and financially consistent strategies which are compatible with the development needs integrated in the development goals of the states and regions, in the context of a perpetual process of study, analysis, synthesis, participation and cooperation. The Curriculum is as follows:

1st Thematic Unit: Infrastructure Courses I (30 ECTS)

  • History of Businesses and Organizations
  • Management of Organizations Theory and Practice
  • Human Resource Management

2nd Thematic Unit: Background Courses II (30 ECTS)

  • Microeconomics and Managerial Economics
  • Macroeconomic and Economic Development
  • Theories of the Firm

3rd Thematic Unit: (20 ECTS)

  • Economy and Space: Structure, Networks and Uneven Development
  • Dynamic Structure and Development of the Real Estate Market
  • Investment Planning, Evaluation and Financing

4th Thematic Unit: (20 ECTS)

  • The Greek Economy: Productive Transformations, Integration and Development
  • National and Regional Competitiveness Strategies and Policies
  • Resilient and Intelligent Cities and Regions

5th Thematic Unit: Diploma Thesis (20 ECTS)
